Revlon Colorburst lipbutter Candy Apple review and lip swatches

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Candy apple is one tarty shade!

The most exciting drugstore lipstick launch on 2012 have to be the Revlon Colorburst lipbutters!!These juicy Buttery Balm with Shiny Color give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips

With the goodness of hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%
Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth

These Revlon colorburst lip butters have a gel like texture and remind me of Dior Addict lipsticks, with the same hydrating glaze like texture and burst of color!
I had my eyes on this baby when these were first launched in USA and I had been over the fence on whether order these online from ebay. Finally when Revlon India officially launched these on 15th Oct'12 there was a virtual stampede by Girls to get their paws on Revlon Colorburst lip butter.
I gave in to my colorburst lipbutter craving on Diwali and did a Red lippie and polish haul from Revlon! Haul pics coming up soon! ;)

Packaging of Revlon Colorburst Lip butters follows the same design family as the diamond patter we have seen on the colorburst lipstick and lipglosses. The tube is mettalic and the outercasing translucent plastic in the same shade as that of the lipstick, there is also a clear window on top and color coded sticker at the base to help you spot your lippie in a jiffy. Most people have so far loved the colorburst lipbutter packaging, I somehow find a it a bit El Cheapo,I'd have much preferred sturdier plastic/metal for the casing, these don't look like they'll survive rough and tumble of my handbag.

The Shade Candy apple is a sheer to medium finish orange red shade which goes off like a lip glaze in a single swipe and the intensity of the color can be built with 3-4 swipes.Worn sheer its perfect for day time, also candy apple is a lovely shade for the 'Red shy' girls to try out a very fresh and wearable red. The colorburst lipbutter lasts for around 2  hours on my lips after which a it fades away with a slight tint and a hint of glossiness on my lips.

The pricing- In US these are priced at approx $ 7.5 (varies from store to store) though usually you can snag them on a BOGO (buy one get one offer), no such luck for makeup addicts in India we have to fork out Rs 600/- bucks a piece. The quantity we get in each of these lipbutter tubes is also incredibly low at just 2.55 grams, considering these are balmy textured lippies with low wear time, and need for frequent reapplication, there is a very good chance of finishing these up pretty quickly.
Single swipe
 Three swipes on pigmented lips
I'd totally recommend grabbing a few shades from the Revlon colorburst lipbutter range with 15 shades available here in India there is a shade for everyone, but you need to hurry as most shades are already sold out in most stores. My recco try Candy apple, Sweet tart, pink truffle, berry smoothie, red velvet, cherry tart and Tutti frutti, boy all those yummy names are giving me a sugar rush ;)
