DEBORAH MILANO TRIO HI TECH EYESHADOW-BLACK DAHLIA

On my latest shopping expedition  picked up Deborah Milano trio hi-tech eyeshadow in shade no. 13 called Black Dahlia.

Deborah Milano is an Italian cosmetics brand, in India I have seen it being retailed in Debenhams & Reliance Trend outlets in Gurgaon.i'm not sure about their availability in other cities.

There are 8 trio in this range and each trio as perfectly coordinated ultra- iridescent eyeshadows for a very stylish & sophisticated look. These can be used wet or dry & are hypoallergenic.

I'd been planning to order Wet n Wild 8 pan color icon eyeshadow palette called 'Blue had me at hello' 'coz i wanted a blue black high iridescent eyeshadow. When I checked out 'Blue Dahlia' at Deborah counter I simply had to have it! I swatched the eyeshadow and boy it was super duper pigmented and I was absolutely floored. This is not the kind of pigmentation you expect in a mid-segment brand.
The packaging is fairly decent ,the palette is the size of a compact, though the applicator isn't anything to write home about.
At INR 495 these are a great buy.In fact I found a champagne & pink trio which looked pretty irrestible. I'm snagging that on my next shopping spree.Do check out the swatches below & let me know what you think.
XOXO

TURQUOISE BLUE & GOLD EYES OF THE DAY

Hey ladies I'd been planning on posting some Eye looks on the blog, but was not sure how well would these be received. So after building up courage for weeks I'm finally posting first EOTD (Eyes of the day) look on the blog.
I wanted to try antique gold and aqua blue eyes so here is the breakdown of products I used.

Firstly I primed the eyelids & then mixed Inglot Duraline with antique golden brown eyeshadow from 88 metal mania palette on the eyelids (eyeshadow 4th column from left & 5th row from top).On the inner corners I applied Inglot eyeshadow in Gold.On the brow bone I used highlighter from Revlon Illuminance cream eyeshadow.

On the lower lash line I used Lakme glide on eyeliner in Turquoise blue, to set the eyeliner in place I used turquoise blue eyeshadow from LA Colors baked eyeshadow quad in Neptune. I lined the waterline with Revlon colorstay eyeliner in Blooming blue and topped with Maybelline's Colossal waterproof mascara.

The photography isn't up to the mark, shall try to click better pics next time. Do let me know what you think.

BOURJOIS BLUSH 95 ROSE DE JASPE

BOURJOIS BLUSH 95 ROSE DE JASPE is a beautiful blush in a ultra cute packaging. The peachy pink casing has a tiny gold button to unlatch the casing.A cute little mirror & a curved brush is provided with the blusher(the brush is absolutely wasted).

Rose de Jape is a beautiful pink with gold shimmer, its a baked blusher and the product is packed very densely & it makes regular soft blush brush useless for picking up color from the pan. You'll need to use a very hard brush or a kabuki brush to pick any color. This can be applied wet or dry, for wet application use very light sweeps as when applied wet the pink becomes very intense on cheeks. When applied dry the color is very sheer. The light gold reflects are subtle & sophisticate & you can wear this during the daytime as well.It has nice rosy smell to it which faints with wear and is not over powering.

Though I love this color I've barely been able to make a dent in the pan or use it regularly the major con is that the product is not easy to pick on a brush, you will need multiple swipes to get the color to show on your cheeks.

There are 12 gorgeous shades available in this range and its priced at INR 575/-

Do check out the swatches below left is applied wet 4-5 swipes & right is applied dry 5-6 swipes.

COLORBAR POWDER BLUSHER CINNABAR

Colorbar powder blusher-Cinnabar is a beautiful dusty coral with shimmer. Cinnabar is very close is color to Colorbar's Just Earth shade however unlike Just earth this one has better pigmentation and the himmer particles are finely milled and lend a lovely glow to the cheeks.

The packaging is fairly simple with mirror & applicator brush provided in a separate section. The brush provided with the blusher is useless you can't apply blush and blend it with such a small sized flat brush.

Colorbar blusher are available across Colorbar counters in India. These are economically priced at INR 250 and are available in 5 shades. Please check out the  swatches below.

ELF NATURAL RADIANCE BLUSHER SHY

ELF (Eyes Lips face) natural radiance blusher-Shy is a very light pink shimmery powder blush. The blush comes in a tiny match box sized packaging and the casing slides open to reveal the product.I'd seen this product on the ELF website earlier & had seen 5 star ratings & it was showcased by a few of the magazines. When I found out that it was being retailed in select Big Bazar outlet I rushed to check it out.(I'd bought this in Bangalore)

Personally I'm not a fan of the product packaging, texture or pigmentation. It is more like a chalky powder highlighter with very poor pigmentation. The blusher is made in China and 7 shades available, though the Big bazaar outlets usually carry 2-3 shades only.In US ELF blusher is retailed at $ 1 but in India this sells for INR 150.
This particular shade might work on fairer skin tones lasses as a highlighter. Otherwise my advice is to steer clear of this blusher.

INGLOT AMC CREAM BLUSH 86 REVIEW & SWATCHES

INGLOT AMC range ( a.ka.Inglot Advance Makeup Component) has beautiful selection of cream & liquid blushes. I chose AMC Cream blush 'coz I find cream blushes far easier to apply & very easy to blend.I love the pigmentation & whipped cream consistency of this blush. Its super blendable and the tiniest amount goes a long way. You can use a stippling brush to apply this or blend it with your fingers.

Inlgot has 15 shades in the AMC Cream blush range & I found almost all shades very flattering to Indian skin tone.

I bought shade no. 86 which is a peachy coral, its absolutely velvety matte in texture no shimmer at all in these babies. It gives a great glow-from-within look to your cheeks & has a nice dewy finish.I love the simple fuss free packaging. Only problem I found with these blushes is that it freezes out in the Delhi winters & I almost didn't end up using it all winter long, but now summer is here & I want streak free blush which lasts the day & I am reaching out for this again.

P.S- Its paraben free & 5.5 grams pot costs INR 750

You can see the swatches below & let me know if you liked it.

If yes your prayers have been answered. Say Hello to INGLOT DURALINE.

Duraline's unique liquid fixing medium that can convert any makeup pigment, eyeshadow in to a vibrant eyeliner.Duraline comes in a small glass vial and has a dropper at the end of the dispenser, just take any of your favorite eyeshadow with a brush & just apply on your on your wrist / mixing palette put a drop Duraline, mix well and voila you have your eyeliner. Use a thin eyeliner brush and apply on your upper & lower lash line & you are good to go.

You can also use Duraline to apply eyeshadow all over your eyelid, but beware it dries quickly & blending shades will not be possible.Once applied the eyeliner / eyeshadow mixed with Duraline becomes transfer resistant and will need a mineral oil based remover like Revlon eye & lip makeup remover to get it off.
