Okay I know what you are thinking- "Loose powder & Me? I mean do I really need it? But I already use foundation"
We reserve our whoops of joy and the twinkle in our eyes for our favorite lipstick or blushes or eyeshadows and the humble powders just get the royal ignore.I mean come on when was the last time you went gaga over powders and compacts? Well Missy time you paid some attention to this baby; Faces Canada Loose powder is a humble looking product which packs a punch. If you are looking for pro quality long lasting makeup then your foundation needs a strong side kick and in comes Mr. Faces loose powder. This one contains no shimmer/ glitter or anything that will make your remotely resemble a disco ball. Its a great product to pull your entire makeup together and keep it that way for hours.
It comes in a simple and chic jar with a shiny gunmetal color screw top lid. The product contains Talc and silica,it doesn't bother me at all,but if you have sensitive skin then check up the ingredient list first before buying.
The jar contains 25 grams of product and is priced around Rs 500 (sorry don't remember the exact price, I threw out the outer wrapping which had all the details).25 grams is an enormous quantity and will last me a long long time. The jar comes with a sifter with plastic sheet covering the sifter holes.I have cut away half the plastic sheet covering the sifter holes to prevent spillage & wastage.
The Jar is cumbersome for traveling and hence has found permanent nesting ground on my vanity. To apply I use a large powder brush and dust off excess powder and then apply quick sweeps all over my face and neck to set my foundation. It quickly sets my foundation in 2-3 quick swipes and simplifies my makeup routine. The powder works great for 4-5 hours (in Delhi's eratic weather) after which it needs touch ups.
Blended out- the powder blends beautifully without leaving any trace. It doesn't oxidizes on my skin or turn ashy or chalky. The powder has no iridescence or shimmer and it makes it perfect when you want a clean matte face.It soaks up slight amounts of skin oil and keeps the foundation from sliding off in the intense heat.It works well on its own, the powder has enough tinting to work on its own but won't offer heavy coverage.
sounds good enough! would love to try this one :)
ReplyDeleteYes definitely worth buying I was going back and forth between MAC and Inglot's loose powder but then I spotted it, works really well and costs a fraction of pricier brands
DeleteI use their mineral loose powder which has an inbuilt sponge-like applicator and its amazing! feels exactly like a kabuki (a very luxurious one!) and great even coverage.
ReplyDeleteYeah I know the you are talking about, it's nice, though I wasn't really looking for a mineral powder. Though it's nice to have an inbuilt mini kabuki brush for touch ups
