Weekend hauling Trinkets and makeup from GK 1, M block market

So I did a tiny little haul on Sunday (well we won't talk about the online shopping sprees now will we?!) So I begged cajoled Dear Hubby to take me to GK 1-M block market.

Well surprise, surprise I didn't really have anything on my shopping list but I was seriously craving some tikki chaats ,gol gappas and chicken momos for days.
Okay I know what you are wondering why on earth would I travel 40-50 km back & forth for some random chaat.Well sorry Missy I just cant explain... I'm a foodie & yes I'm the kind of person who would travel long distances just to tuck in some snacks :P.
I had been hooked on to some seriously delicious palak patta chaat (Must Try!!)and chicken momos at Mahesh (or Ramesh) Chaat store, next to Prince Paan at M block for over 6-7 years now!
Seriously Girls if you are in GK 1 you cannot afford to miss out on snacking there, you can easily spot it this is the store with a giggly bunch of 10-15 Girls waiting for their turn at gol -gappa counter at any given time of the year!.

Okay after I was done with my snacking, and I had charged up my batteries I wanted to shop, shop, shop. Now I dunno why I was tooooo lazy to click pics, but there is an awesome deluge of super cute chiffon tops and blouses and girlie tops with lace work and pallazzo pants and some awesome handbags and footwear at M block market.

I had been hankering for some quirky statement necklaces and I picked up these two pieces of bijoux. One is a turqouise necklace with gold metal bead work and the second one is long multilayered antique gold beads and metal bead necklace.I <3 both the pieces and these were an absolute steal at 550/- bucks for both!!

I also snagged some goodies from Revlon after ages, I picked up this very fun and fresh nail polish shade called 'Bright Orange' and a coral lippie. *yes my coral obsession, knows no bounds*

This pic was clicked indoors with flash,so the shade looks much brighter infact its a beautiful milky oranges, very 70's kind of flower child shade. I wore it to work today and I must say nothing like a pop of orange on your tips to help you survive manic Mondays ;)

HOW TO BUY A GREAT ENGAGEMENT RING ON A BUDGET

Weddings are expensive business and first year of marriage setting up your nest together is going to cost a pretty penny.
The old "guideline" that recommends you invest the equivalent of two months' salary on the cost of the ring is pure marketing gimmick. You should deeply consider whether that amount could be better spent on your house down payment or a trip together or building a nest egg

When you are on the lookout for your engagement ring on a budget you would do well to keep the following ideas in mind.

Explore different gemstones-Diamonds are so expensive not only because they are rare in nature, but because their supply is tightly controlled by diamond cartels, which keep price artificially high.
Diamond in engagement ring is a recent phenomenon & for centuries simple gold rings have sufficed. But keeping the current trend for bling in mind I'd suggest you explore Emeralds, Sapphires, Rubies, Pearl engagement as the center stone for your ring.

THE PERFECT DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING BUYING GUIDE

Its the season of love, promises, engagements and weddings & I know you lovely ladies about to tie the knot have the Big question on your mind about the "The Lord of the Rings-The Engagement Ring"

Girls quick mail this post to your Man-on-prowl for the engagement ring, you can come back & thank me later :)

Here is a bunch of practical advice to help you find the perfect engagement ring that you'll cherish forever.

                                                Harry Winston Diamond Engagement rings

Just a bit of background into my own engagement ring-I & My Hubby (the-then fiance`) spent over 6 months in search of the perfect ring!!! A search spanning 4 cities, scores of jewelers and gazillion online sites, I finally found the Princess cut diamond trinity ring in my size & specs at Gold Souk in Gurgaon!
It was tedious search, but I was jumping with joy & tears welled up in my eyes when we found it!
Next week we have our Engagement anniversary & I love my ring more & more everyday :)

This is what my engagement ring looks like (I tried clicking pics of my own ring, but the images look blurred )This 3-stone ring design is called "Diamond trinity ring" the three diamonds symbolizing The Past, The Present & The Future.

So lets get started to help you find your perfect diamond engagement ring!

DECIDE ON A BUDGET-I know sounds very un-romantic, but its very important to set a budget range to help you zero down on perfect memento of love , without breaking your bank.

DECIDE THE DIAMOND SHAPE-The diamond shape should be based on your personal preference. The Round shaped diamonds have the highest brilliance due to higher number of facets.

The Round diamond are also the most commonly available and also the most popular. You might not find too much variety in other shapes at most jewelery stores.
