The Kryolan TV Paintstick is the one makeup item for which I get zillion queries from all over the world, right from the shade and how it works and where to buy it?Girls it seems are truly going gaga over this little stick of greasepaint!

This post is also a testimony to the extent of my procrastination, cause this post has been sitting in the draft folder for over 6 months!! Yes..Believe..Well finally I decided to get my booty moving and publish this HG status product post.

So without much ado here is what Kryolan says about their TV Paint stick

Firstly you need to know that this is not your everyday use foundation (though if you are a determined lass you can, I have worn it to work and trust me the makeup lasted full day without touch ups)

This is a thick foundation and goes on matte.It has a faint smell like mild Talcum powders of good old days,comes in a bland looking utilitarian cylindrical twist up tube.

25 gram tube costs INR 800/- and has a shelf life of over 4 years,but once the tube is opened you need to finish it off in 24 months. The price is very good for the quantity that you get.

Why you need to Buy it-If you attend events where you are likely to be photographed and the dewy makeup look doesn't cut for the cameras.Or If you are the bride / friend of bride and need heavy duty long wearing foundation, which will go on & on like a Duracell bunny then this is what you have to use.Or if you are a beauty blogger who needs to click lots of macro / close up images and your regular foundation gives ashy /grey cast in your pictures this baby will work for you.

Kryolan Lipstick Classic LC106 Review & lip swatch

Kryolan Lipstick LC106 is from Kryolan's classic range of Lipsticks.

 

Here's what Kryolan claims about Lipstick Classic
"Lipstick with a long-proven formulation, including Vitamin E to stimulate the skin’s repair mechanism. Lipstick Classic produces a matt impression and is known for its good durability. This Lip Rouge is available in a wide range of more than 48 shades."

The packaging-Kryolan lipsticks come in a grey plastic casing with chrome accents on the cap of the lipstick.The lipsticks are numbered and there is no shade sticker at the base, so it makes identifying the lippie quite a hassle.

The tube contains 4 gram of lipstick and is priced at INR 250/-

LC106  is a beautiful plum lipstick in creamy finish.The shade LC 161 is a great shade for most Indian skin tones and it would look stunning on medium to dusky skin tones.The shade is  close to MAC plumful (though this is creamy while Plumful is Lustre finish and more sheerer) Due to the creamy texture the lasting power  of the lipstick is around 2-3 hours.It fades with a very faint tint on the lips (specially after meals)

Kryolan Kajal Pencil Nude Review Swatches & Tips!

I'd been in search of a Nude kohl pencil for a long long time,you know for the whole spiel of bigger brighter fresher eyes. After a Herculean search of almost all brands I finally spotted a nude Kohl pencil in Kryolan (I know MC makes it, but I was loathe to fork out 1000 bucks for a pencil I'll rarely use!)

12 cm pencil costs INR 175/- The texture is extremely emollient and creamy & the shade isn't nude but more bone colored.

Meeting both Avik & Meghna the resident makeup geniuses was a real treat.Five mins in to our meeting & I felt I was catching up with old friends & having a laugh over makeup chit chat.

I pickled there brains for over 1.5 hours and they patiently answered all my queries and helped me understand the nuances of different Kryolan products .

It was such a pleasure to meet both these Makeup artists who are so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft and are warm & helpful as well. A big thank you to both Avik & Meghna!

LIPS

Kryolan  has a wide variety of lip products,I counted roughly 150 lipsticks on display, Meghna mentioned they are expecting more lipstick shades soon !! The lipsticks come in matte, creams and pearl finishes. The variety in nudes, corals, pinks is delightful. Meghna showed me one of her pic wearing a bright orange shade and it was a very close dupe of MAC's Lady Danger,oops I forget the shade no. will note it down on my next visit. (promise!)

The lippies are priced at INR 250/- / $5

The lipsticks also come in Mini palettes containing 16 colors priced at 1100/- / $22 (approx-what's with the depreciating rupee!)

Kryolan Lipstick LC161 is from Kryolan's classic range of Lipsticks. Kryolan is a professional makeup company and manufactures specialized products for Theater / movie/ TV /HD purpose.

The date of manufacturing and product expiry are mentioned at the base of the case. Make sure you pick out the freshest stock of lipstick.
The lippies have a very faint citrusy-fruity fragrance. But the older stock of lipsticks have a  nasty waxy smell, so double check the manufacturing date, before buying.
