Nivea powerfruit relax shower gel & soft rose lip balm review

Nivea sent across a little goodie bag to me a few weeks back, I was super thrilled by this cutesy eco-friendly bag with retro pinups. I've been asked by friends countless times where did I snag this one from..its really cute!
In the 'IT' bag were two latest fruity and floral based launches from Nivea for Spring Summer season.I love toting this little bag around, isn't it like the cutest thing ever?
I have been testing both these products for a while now, but as I was banished from the virtual world I couldn't post the reviews. Finally now that I finally have broadband,I have decided to power ahead and get on with my regular posting schedule.

 First up the trusty good old shower gel from  Nivea, it comes with a blue sidekick of a loofah
.Its supposed to be charged with the goodness of acai berry and blueberries.This is pH skin balanced and dermatologically approved.The packaging looks nice and soothing and is functional with a simple flip top.
The gel is mildly fragrant and texture is just right not too thick, not to runny.Its leaves my skin feeling fresh, though not superbly hydrating I can get by with a light moisturizing lotion after using this shower gel.
Priced at Rs 175/- for 250 ml its a good value for money everyday shower gel.I'd recommend and would be checking out more variants in this range

Organic Surge Peach Passion Shower Gel review

I have been on a skin pampering spree for past few months and have bought tons of bath and body and skincare stuff,though I have barely reviewed any skincare products in months.

There aren't too many reviews available online of Organic surge products online so I was blind guessing when I bought it online.

Lush Sugar Scrub review

Lush Sugar scrub is a fun bath product for the days you are feeling indulgent and want to pamper yourself with a bit of luxury bathing.
Lush says "Get your body nice and wet,smooth your Sugar scrub scrubbing harder on the rough parts and rinse off"

Its a vegan product though it does contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamide DEA (which is used to thicken and give a goopy texture to bath and body products) Cocamide DEA is a suspected carcinogenic.SLS and Cocamide DEA are usually found extensively used in bath and skincare products, but considering we are paying a premium for Fresh Handmade Cosmetics which are au naturel I was a bit surprised (not in a good way) to find these two mentioned in the ingredient list.

At first I was quite excited to try my first Lush product (we all know how delicious Lush stores smell), but I was honestly foxed at the size of this sugar scrub and its odd hemispherical shape, it was difficult to wedge it out of its plastic case.
Though it was solid and the sugar crystals are tightly packed together once in water it does tend to melt of rather quickly.You can see the bits of herbs embedded in the scrub as well.Thought it contains fennel and ginger root and linalool the primary fragrance I get from this scrub is that of lavender essential oil.

Well I think the Sale has been on for 2-3 days or something & actually I had no plans to shop for anything.We were just strolling around in Khan Market, waiting for our seat reservation at The Big Chill (one of my all time favorite places to nosh in Delhi) to come through & I spotted the TBS store & surprisingly Hubby dear said "okay why don't you check out some stuff?!"
"Err. really are you sure I asked?"
He said- "Oh yeah they have 50% off why not?"
 I couldn't believe my ears & I could  seriously do cartwheels right then!- nopes,not really... the store was kind of small, not really possible to pull off cartwheels there so I did the next best thing I hurriedly grabbed these babies, all this was flat 50% off!!!
I just love the Travel sized Body shop treats, they are fun to use, easy to travel with and look so pretty in my bath :) Hubby insisted that I also pick up the Dewberry shower gel & body lotion too! Really just my lucky day :)

Just then we got a call that our seats at restaurant were available and we had to rush out, before I could do any more damage to my wallet :)

Nyassa's Exotic Rose Handmade soap & Under the ocean bath fizzy

Ever since I saw Elizabeth Taylor essay Cleopatra; I've always harbored grand visions of myself bathing luxuriously in an exotic pool much like Cleopatra -okay I know the ancients used pretty wonky stuff in their bath like Asses's milk.No such wonky stuff for me thanyouverymuch !I'm more in to exotic roses and lavenders.

The nice people at Nyassa probably got a whiff of my little Cleopatra fantasy & they sent me this little goodie box with Nyassa Handmade exotic rose soap & Under the ocean bath fizzy.

The soap is a pretty baby pink colored bar with a healthy topping of dried rose petals embedded in to the soap.The bar has a sumptuous & rich rose fragrance.The smell is very natural and it really envelopes you in a warm hug with its comforting feel.

The soap is handmade and contains coconut & palm oil.

I sliced up the soap,what you see in the pic below is almost 20% of the soap bar, so I'm guessing a single bar should last round about 30-35 days.The soap lathers up pretty well, unlike many other handmade soaps I have used in the past.The embedded rose petals  also felt soft on the skin.

When it comes to body butters I'm a religious follower of Bath & Body works, Boots Pharmacy Body butter, (sadly both are not very easily available in India) & The Body shop body butters (easily available but pricey).I never even look beyond these staples of mine.I'm extremely demanding of my body butters, this is one item in my beauty routine I cannot live without .Period.

Recently while shopping online I picked Vedicline Choco body butter on a lark, half expecting it to have some over powering chemical infused chocolate flavor.But this humble looking choco vanilla body butter has simply bowled me over! It has a delicious choco vanilla flavor that's as real & natural as they come. 

Quality wise I'd rate it as high as my beloved Bath & Body works Triple moisturizing body cream in Sensual Amber (HG stuff!!!) and higher than The Body shop's cocoa body butter!!( yes you read it right!)
