Marc Cain, the international fashion company, celebrates the opening of its new mono-label-store at the heart of south Mumbai, India. The store is located in the well-known Napean Sea Road where the crème de la crème of Mumbai reside. This season Marc Cain’s Fall Winter collection is chic and simple, uncomplicated and casual, cool and authentic, perfect for the party season!

The colour palette for this season is a mix of fine creams and powder tones as well as strong colours such as red, royal and malachite which are combined with black for exciting colour combinations. The subtle orchestration of the materials is particularly important. Elegant fabrics such as flowing crêpe de Chine are combined with coarse knits made of ultra-lightweight yarn while soft angora and mohair knits are combined with fine nappa leather. Clear patterns such as wide stripes and diamonds play an important role when it comes to the larger items. Striking prints as well as jacquard, animal and graphically reduced  paisley  prints  create  a feminine image as do smart geometrical dots.

Fitted blazers, short cardigans, knee length skirts as well as boxy dresses and track-suit style trousers are particularly in trend. After creating ripples in the International markets by dressing Celebs like Madonna,Lady Gaga,Katy Perry ,Britney spears,J Lo and Kim Kardashian, the designer dup of Falguni & Shane Peacock brought their unique design philosophy to fore during the recent Blenders Pride Dashion Tour. Genelia Deshmukh walked the ramp as their showstopper.

The collection saw a mix of fabrics varying from digital on silks, soft lurex,cotton jerseys to cashmere and feathers and embellishments to accentuate their designs.

So let me give you a ring side view of all the action at Gavin's show :)

Gavin's collection was my personal favorite from Day 2 showcase.This is the very first time Gavin has played with a palette of light airy colors mixed with strong pump of neons. His entire collection was full of delicate gowns made with french chiffon. The highlight of the collection was was the shape & fluidity of the gown.The embroidery and encrustations were at a minimal, swarowski crystals were used to accentuate the gowns .Gavin used a nude colored form fitted skirts under his gown which created a very intriguing peekaboo effect.
