Dior's J'Adore has been a timeless classic and one of the most elegant perfrume bottle of all times. But do you know what was the inspiration behind this beautiful bottle?
Designed by Hervé Van Der Straeten, the perfume bottle for J'Adore resembles a jar both ancient, modern and timeless... The beautiful elongated shape of the bottle was inspired by golden coils wore by the women of the Kayan Lahwi Tribe,to elongate their neck.
A Crystal cap tops the bottle. The name of the perfume is hidden in the eye of the crystal like an exclamation point: "J'Adore!"
In a few African and Asian cultures neck rings are worn usually to create the appearance that the neck has been stretched. Padaung (Kayan Lahwi) women of the Kayan people begin to wear neck coils from as young as age two.- Source Wiki
