One of the biggest Limited edition collection to be launched by MAC in 2012 is M.A.C Heavenly Creatures collection
and its filled with Mineralized makeup pieces. On the surface they look marbelized, but on the skin they blend for stunning celestial effect. The M.A.C. Heavenly creatures collections has 9 gorgeous Mineralize eyeshadows and today I'm reviewing the shade 'Water' from the collection
Water is a very complex melange of chartreuse,Yellow, dark navy, mint green swirls. The mineralized eyeshadows are baked each one has a unique patter and no two of these look the same. The yellow is very prominent, bt on its own has weak pigmentation, but when swatched together you get a beautiful muted green with a hint of blue, much like pista color with a high shimmer finish.
The baked mineralized eyeshadow swatch even more intense when used wet. You can use MAC fix +, or water to intensify the color pay off. I usually just wet my brush with a spritz of rose water and I find its much easier to work the shadows with minimal fall out.Eyeshadow when applied using a wet brush stays on for over 6 hours with slight fading.
The eyeshadow is dome shaped and not flat like regular shadows and comes with its own protective transparent dome like casing.
The Ingredients
The pan contains 2.2 grams of eyeshadow and come in a slightly larger size than the regular MAC eyeshadows. This is a limited edition piece and priced at INR 1350/-
All the different shades are so closely placed in the pan that one can't use the shades individually. I've swatched the various swirls of shade in the pan individually as much as possible, on the extreme right you see the melange of all the shades together, which is a shimmery blue green shade.
All swirls of MAC Mineralized Eye shadow Waters swatched together on MAC NC 45 bare skin.
After fading the eyeshadow leaves a stain on bare skin,so I'd suggest using an eyeshadow base underneath.
And I go back to check out this pan's hypnotic swirly beauty ;) Its just so pretty :D
I'm itching to to create an eye makeup look with this shadow, but as I'll be traveling this week it looks a bit difficult, will try to post something next week :)
