MAC SELECT MOISTURECOVER CONCEALER NC 45

My search for the perfect under eye concealer took me to the Mecca of Makeup-M.A.C where three valiant warring concealers-MAC Studio Sculpt, MAC Studio Finish & MAC moisturecover battled for my affection.

While Studio finish was the hot favorite (being water resistant, SPF 35 and enriched with anti oxidants and promises of  superb coverage) the other hot contender was- Studio sculpt  (gel based, long wearing,matte finish),  the fight eventually went to the underdog- MAC Select moisturecover concealer 

So what swung the deal in its favor- very soft natural finish & moist texture for easy blending on the under eye area.

Line-softening, skin-perfecting: The Pros’ “select” for under-eyes and delicate skin. Wide shade range provides soft, natural camouflage. Use with the 194 Concealer Brush.

Packaging- Is nice and sturdy, the tube is shaped like MAC lipglass tubes. It has a nice angled doe foot applicator. The wand precisely deposits color and is great for on-the-go application.One single dip of the wand in tube delivers enough product to conceal dark circles on both eyes.

The Texture-This is very hydrating liquid concealer which is perfect for under eye area.This concealer has  a light, non-greasy texture, it gives medium to heavy coverage

It dries to a satin smooth finish.The product is the perfect consistency-liquid (y) enough to blend easily and not too runny.It provides a very natural look & soft moisturized finish.

The shade-There are 14 shades available in this range, NC 45 is perfect for concealing my under eye dark circles, as the under eye area is naturally darker than rest of my face. But this is a tad darker for concealing any other blemishes on my face, so I might need a lighter shade of concealer as well.

Before-bare skin. You can see the pronounced dark circles,freckles and fine lines.

MAC select moisturecover concealer applied in small dots, on the area requiring concealment.Usually 3 dots on the under eye area suffice (unless you've been partying /burning the midnight oil too frequently)

Concealer blended out- Gives medium coverage which is build able.I usually skip foundation for office wear and stick wit MAC  Select sheer pressed powder. The concealer topped with light dusting of powder instantly brings my face to life, the under eye circles and freckles visibly reduced.

It also helps with minor puffiness but don't go expecting miracles! It doesn't sink in to fine lines on my under eye area but if I use this to conceal spot /pigmentation on my eye lids,it tends to crease after 2-3 hours (Damn you oily lids!)

Overall Thoughts- Great concealer for everyday use, a tad pricey but then all of MAC is... I love how easy it makes my concealing ritual. I'd recommend and definitely re-purchase.
