MAC SELECT MOISTURECOVER CONCEALER NC 45

My search for the perfect under eye concealer took me to the Mecca of Makeup-M.A.C where three valiant warring concealers-MAC Studio Sculpt, MAC Studio Finish & MAC moisturecover battled for my affection.

While Studio finish was the hot favorite (being water resistant, SPF 35 and enriched with anti oxidants and promises of  superb coverage) the other hot contender was- Studio sculpt  (gel based, long wearing,matte finish),  the fight eventually went to the underdog- MAC Select moisturecover concealer 

So what swung the deal in its favor- very soft natural finish & moist texture for easy blending on the under eye area.

KARA MOISTURIZING WIPES WITH HONEY AND ALMOND

Looking for quick cleansing and super soft skin in a jiffy, then try these Kara moisturizing wipes with honey & almond.

I'd tried out Kara cleansing wipes when they were first launched almost 3 years back, I tried out some other variant (one with sun protection )and I wasn't exactly too thrilled with it. I'd not say that Kara is an exact dupe, but for its price it's an excellent substitute.

The packaging is distinct & fun, it stacks 8 shadows one on top of another like Lego blocks and is easy to travel with.That being said, its tricky business opening and closing these shadows screw tops.One false move & there is a very high chance of spilling the products all over. 

The stack contains total 11.2 grams of eyeshadow the ingredient list is in microscopic font & printed on plastic wrapper on the stack,which I was unable to read.

The texture is finely milled, but its not exactly buttery smooth like some loose eyeshadow I bought from Glamor Doll Eyes.The light mauve eyeshadow is particularly gritty and has poor pigmentation. The bronzey- copper shade has the smoothest texture of the lot and it would be great for a lot of traditional bridal looks.

Hey Girls, Just came across this announcement for International customers at Cherryculture shopping for NYX cosmetics.

Apparently due Manufacturer restriction based on distribution agreement CC may decline your NYX orders at checkout.

I'm not sure why this might be the case,but I guess it could be that NYX's local distribution agreements allow products to be sold at different prices (read higher prices),many customers might be ordering NYX products from CC at USA prices (read bargain basement prices) causing local distributors to possibly lose revenue.Now this is just a hypothesis,real reasons are not known to me.

If you are planning a NYX  haul at CC,I think now might be right time as its possible that CC might decline the NYX orders after 1.Jan 2012.

BOURJOIS EFFET 3D LIP GLOSS BRUN EXOTIC REVIEW AND LIP SWATCH

So what do Avatar, Chota Chetan & Bourjois Effet lipglosses have in common??

Well all three promise to immerse us in the world of 3D!! 

Now I knew movies & TVs turning 3D was sort of technical feat, but I somehow thought (in all my innocence) that my lips were already 3 dimensional. 

But Nopes! Guess I was wrong ! 

Your lips can't turn 3D unless you don some Parisienne chic lip gloss which brands you Bourjois (literally Middle class) dripping with materialism & hedonism!

Now that's a lot of responsibility resting on the slender shoulder of a dainty little lip gloss. So does it measure up ?Lets find out.

The gloss's packaging,like all the other Bourjois products is tre`s chic. The gloss tube starts as a square at the base and is rounded in the middle,the tube is topped with a tapered cap with shade number and swatch mentioned at the top of cap.The tube looks distinctive and high end.

Check out the shimmery gold & silver reflects in the lipgloss.The glitter is very fine and doesn't feel gritty on the lips.

 

REVLON MAGIC EYELINER PENCIL SMOKY BLACK

Smoky Black eyes is the most desired look by every single Indian Girl with an iota of interest in makeup.
Seduced by the promises of sultry smoky black kohl rimmed eyes I bought Revlon's Magic Eyeliner pencil.Did it live up to the hype? Read on to find out more.

The eyeliner comes in standard pencil packaging,its shade is very unique I'm yet to see an actual smoky black shade in any other brand. Most other brands veer towards a dull gray, this one has slightly purplish ashy tone to it and I quite like the shade.
The eyeliner is smudge proof, water proof and transfer resistant. Its stays on for 6-7 hours easily and you need industrial strength makeup remover to get rid of it completely at the end of day.
