Delhi Blogger Meet hosted by Divo & Healthkart-hairstyling tips,pics & gifts!!

Divo & Healthkart.com hosted 'Tress it Up!' a great interactive session this Sunday in Delhi.The objective was to give us 'gyan gurus' a.k.a 'beauty bloggers'  some first-hand advice to our readers on easy-to-learn and easier-to-do styling tips that won’t cost a trip to a salon.

The session was anchored by Ruchika-founder of Divo Sonali from Healthkart.com,Bhavika from Divo's PR team and hairstyling expert-Imran helped spread some very important gyan on some seriously fun stuff, which includes:

• Hairstyling for different occasions, be it a casual day look or a super glam look for a night about town
• Finding suitable hair accessories that highlight long locks
• Tools of the trade – brush, comb, paddle brush – what’s best for what style
• Tips and tricks to deal with a bad hair day
• Hairstyles that perfectly complements different face and body types

Did you know that based on whether you have Round, Oval,square,Diamond,Long or heart shaped face you need different hairstyles to suit your specific face.

My face type is supposed to be a Diamond shape - now that explains my fetish for all things blingy!

Imran explains the Day Look-Natural Inturn hair & how to blow dry at home to achieve salon quality results.

Start with hair serum to protect your hair and add shine. To apply hair serum take a few drops on your palms
and rub your palms together to emulsify the serum,start by applying the serum from the middle of the hair length to the tips and lastly on your crown,if you apply the serum first on your crown, it will reduce the volume in your hair.

Concentrate on the roots and keep turning the brush in your hands to ensure smoother in-turned curls.

Imran's Tip- For best results while blow drying always use heat protect-ant on your hair first.Use a ceramic coated  hair brush for better heat distribution,use a round hair brush with inbuilt vents for quicker blow drying.

Imran explain how to achieve the casual look on naturally curly hair. How to control the frizziness and add definition to your curls using L'oreal Liss control (for light definition to your curls), L'oreal spiral splendor (for medium intensity curls) and L'oreal hair mousse( for strong set curls).
For scrunching the hair use L'oreal's Shine Curl shampoo.

Imran's Tip- Always work the product through all the hair strands to control any frizzinness,best applied throug a product applicator brush.
