Nivea powerfruit relax shower gel & soft rose lip balm review

Nivea sent across a little goodie bag to me a few weeks back, I was super thrilled by this cutesy eco-friendly bag with retro pinups. I've been asked by friends countless times where did I snag this one from..its really cute!
In the 'IT' bag were two latest fruity and floral based launches from Nivea for Spring Summer season.I love toting this little bag around, isn't it like the cutest thing ever?
I have been testing both these products for a while now, but as I was banished from the virtual world I couldn't post the reviews. Finally now that I finally have broadband,I have decided to power ahead and get on with my regular posting schedule.

 First up the trusty good old shower gel from  Nivea, it comes with a blue sidekick of a loofah
.Its supposed to be charged with the goodness of acai berry and blueberries.This is pH skin balanced and dermatologically approved.The packaging looks nice and soothing and is functional with a simple flip top.
The gel is mildly fragrant and texture is just right not too thick, not to runny.Its leaves my skin feeling fresh, though not superbly hydrating I can get by with a light moisturizing lotion after using this shower gel.
Priced at Rs 175/- for 250 ml its a good value for money everyday shower gel.I'd recommend and would be checking out more variants in this range

Beauty on a Budget- Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Clean up

Multitasking is all the fad..we now have laptops which can double up as tablets, tablets that can double up as cell phones,well how can the beauty and skincare potions be far behind,the latest crop of 'Mister-do-it-all 'beauty potions can be used as face wash/scrub and a masks. Suddenly the Indian beauty counters are awash with these little tubes which claim to do it all!

Now I personally steer clear of these Jack-of-all-trades products, but when I saw one from Nivea,my interest was piqued,its called Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Clean up.This thrifty little Mr. Fixit is the new kid on the block can be used as a wash,scrub,pack,oil remover,spot reducer.

Its meant for Normal to Oily skin, which means a pretty wide skin spectrum gets covered by Nivea Pure effect Total Face clean up.

Nivea Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect Body Lotion Review

Nivea had recently launched their Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect Body Lotion,which is specially developed for the need of Asian skin, offers 40 times higher Vitamin C concentration that works from deep within and repairs skin layer by layer to recover skin's white tone. 

A skin whitening craze has been sweeping Asia,blame it on the cultural & colonial hangover, but 'Whiter is Better' mantra is deeply ingrained in our psyche.
Considering we Asians (Indians included) spend over $18 Billion a year on whitening products,its no surprise to find more and more Whitening products getting launched everyday.
Personally I steer clear of the products promising the 'doodh si safedi' 
Geez !! imagine what would i do,if I was to wake up one day and realize, I've turned pasty white like a Vampire?? (well so long as I've Robert Pattison as my arm candy I wouldn't even mind being a Vamp though;K-Stewart you have been a bad bad girl breaking my favorite eye candy's heart! )  
Sorry I digress,with the Vamipre love story, coming back to being pasty white-What would happen to all my makeup?!
I mean how will I ever wear all my favorite foundations, concealers, and hot pinks lipsticks and juicy corals lip glosses that looks so good on my dusky skin?!! Nahii.. I cant leave my makeup no not even for R- Patz! 

Okay so Nivea's PR team was kind  enough to share Nivea Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect Body Lotion for review with me.I sat on the fence for a while whether to try it out or not? 
Hubby Dear calls me his Caramel candy & I honestly I don't wanna turn white.... But you know what, beauty blogging is hard work and somebody's gotta do it. So for the greater good of womankind I decided to give it a whirl.

Here's My Fun in The Sun Moment- Here is me trying to snorkel in the Andaman sea at Monkey Bay near Phiphi islands- Fun fact I dunno how to swim :P I know it was risque, but it was the most fun I ever had, the crisp sea breeze, the cool waters and beautiful colorful fishes! Ah I need a holiday :)

P.S.- Funny thing I had forgotten my sunblock for the Phi Phi island cruise and I had to buy one on board the cruiser (obviously with a hefty mark up!) & guess which one I ended up buying Nivea Sun SPF 50 PA++, No kidding :D
