The Big Fat Makeup Haul l!!!

So one of my Legen...(wait for it) dary- New year resolution was to trim down on my makeup spending...Ermmm one look at the haul pics below and you'd know it was an epic fail.

When I spread out all my recent makeup hauls together I realized it was just too much of serious eye candy. I went clickety-click like a possessed paparazzi who just spotted Kate in a bikini!

At the sight of so much makeup,my possessed look and my frenetic photography my Hubby's eyes turned big as saucers! I hurriedly explained that some of this stuff was sent by companies for review while most of this stuff was bought by me for my friend who is getting married soon and there is loads of stuff I'm putting together for my would be Sis-in-law! Hubby eyed my loot suspiciously and said "Really?! :P


Now for the greater good of womankind I decided to post these pics, feast your peepers on these pretties and tell me what are you lemming for?

Picked this snazzy clutch from Lifestyle recently, though haven't used it yet..Ladies (and fashion forward Gentlemen) any ideas on what to pair this with?
I've been pleasantly surprised by Lakme`, its been steadily climbing its way back in my vanity. This Lakme` Absolute Bi phase makeup remover is pretty awesome.

Picked these VOV Moisture vogue lip glosses from New Beauty center (NBC) for a cute friend (yep you all know her but I'm not allowed to spill the beans ;)
These are super pretty and piggy bank friendly,no wonder these are almost always sold out at NBC

A little haul-Maybelline 24 Hour color tattoo & L'oreal Infalliable eyeshadow

So I did a tiny lil haul (i'd rather not say how much I hauled in past few weeks *hides credit card statement*) I picked out Bold Gold shade form Maybelline Color Tattoo range range and got a freebie eyeshadow brush along with it (which the SA conveniently forgot to give me, till I pestered him *bad boy*)

I also finally caved in and bought L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow in All night blue, that blue had been tempting me for ages, I got back home to realize I already had an exact dupe in my Sleek eyeshadow palette of this shade :P *shhh...good thing my Hubby doesn't read my blog!*

I usually steer clear of mono eyeshadows, my highly value conscious brain just refuses to fork out so much moolah on a single shadow!!! But once in a while some very unique & complex shade catches my fancy and I cave in. This time I ended up buying 2 shadows from L'oreal. I already reviewed L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Endless Chocolate and I thought I'll show you the other shadow which has got me smitten

L'oreal Paris Chrome Shine eyeshadow Midnight stars is a very unique grey gold lame` eyeshadow.
I love the Sol Invictus kind of embossed pattern on the shadow, it really looks intriguing in the pan.

Shadow in bright sunlight looks silvery grey.

The same shadow indoors the greenish gold pops through and you can see the nuances of the shade better.

L'oreal Infailliable eyeshadow Endless chocolate- Is it the most sensational eyeshadow launch of 2012?

So the blogosphere is already littered with tales of how awesome L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows are,so here I am to tell you all about the most coveted shade from this range recently launched in India.
For some strange inexplicable reason L'oreal has launched the same Infallible eyeshadows under different names and numbers in different countries. Causing endless chaos,palpitations and heart wrenching drama amongst the makeup addicts to spot their favorite shades.Yours truly did waste an entire weekend trying to hunt down 2 shades,leaving  a trail of exasperated Sales associates,only to find that these shades are not yet launched in India! [Yes bite Me!! I'm obsessive compulsive about my makeup ;) ]

The shade that instantly made me go weak in the knees was Endless chocolate (a.k.a Continuous Cocoa in USA). A very deep intensely pigmented brown shadow (without any tinge of redness) which has fast become my beauty staple.

The packaging of Infallible shadows  is pretty funky and mimics Armani Eyes To Kill eyeshadow packaging.The shade can be seen at the base of the packaging, which always earns brownie points from me :)

A quirky part of the packaging is the the eyeshadow stopper/ protector which can be used to prevent spillage and also to press down the loose shadow to a more manageable semi-pressed texture.Do keep this carefully, sans which I'm afraid the powdery eyeshadow is bound to fly all over the place.

Oh dear Lord! just dip me in butter and roll me nuts!! Have you ever seen such a gorgeous gorgeous brown eyeshadow? Okay who am I kidding, obviously you have, but definitely not from a drugstore brand.

So back to blogging-today I'm reviewing L'OREAL Touch On Colour for Eyes and Cheeks Color in the shade Rose Taffeta.
I bought this a while back from Kunchals and this range I believe wasn't launched by L'oreal in India. (no surprises there!)

Touch on color is a multi use product which can be used on the cheeks and eyes,a small flip top compact case contains 0.11 oz. of product & I paid around Rs 500/- for this.The shade is a dusty rose with fine silver micro glitter.

So we've all seen the over the top ads of L'oreal Paris Total Repair 5 shampoo with gorgeous Ash flaunting her locks.

Every time I'd see this add somehow I'd think of Disney cartoon with Aladdin & the blue Genie-with Princess Jasmine wishing for gorgeous locks & the Genie saying-Granted m'lady! (cliche`d imagery I know). 

So is this shampoo really a Genie in the bottle?
