My entire MAC collection! :)

Hey Girlies! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I had a pretty wonderful relaxed Sunday.
After a really long time I decided to re-arrange my vanity case. One thing led to another (like it always does..)pretty soon my de-clutter & organize mission faded in to oblivion and I started playing with my makeup :P

If you looked at the pic below and thought I was showing you some latest limited edition collection launch pics from MAC, dahlings you are so wrong! That's my entire MAC collection in all its glory! :D

As I lined up all my MAC makeup and fawned over my pretty juicy MAC lippies, it suddenly struck me Gosh! I really have accumulated a whole lot of MAC!!
Two years back if somebody would have told me that I'd be forking out a 1000 bucks on a lippie, my frugal heart would have yelled expletives & done violent somersaults!!
Over the course of past 2 years I turned from somebody who wouldn't splurge on higher end stuff but hoard drugstore brands,to somebody who loosens her purse strings on MAC.

NO, I haven't hit the jackpot or married a Sheikh of any Fascist regime. I still have a whole long cost-benefit debate in my head before splurging at MAC counters, but now I realize I'm better off buying one good quality product I love and will use than 2 drugstore lippies which will gather dust on my dresser. I plan my MAC purchases for months & only pick up stuff I would actually use regularly.

A closer look at the goodies! :)
The boldest MAC lippie in my stash Impasssioned, Its bold bright and very naughty.Perfect for spring summer season.
MAC Ruby Woo, my favorite retro red lippie. If there is one single lippie I could carry to my afterlife, Ruby woo it is!

MAC Creme in your coffee- My very first MAC purchase, I waited for over 6 months before splurging out on Creme in your coffee, totally love this baby for everyday work wear.

MAC Viva Glam VI, a pearlescent terracotta sheer lippie, totally adore this one and I've worn mine out :)

Swatchfest! Lee shares 6 of her favorite eyeshadows

Hello Beauties,

I LOVE doing up my eyes so it was pretty easy for me to decide what I wanted to swatch for IBC'S Swatch It-Win It! contest.

Here are the eyeshadows I totally LOVE. I’ve swatched 6 eyeshadows as no eye makeup is complete without a highlighter so Ive included the eyeshadow I love highlighting my browbone with. Enjoy <3

(Editor's Note- Lee these are some of the nicest swatches I've seen! Great Job!)

All the eyeshadows are swatched twice and without a base.

Colorbar 04 Gorgeous Gold
A frosty lemon-ish gold shade.  It is the perfect highlighting shade I have come across.

Colorbar 04 Really Rose
A frosty baby pink eyeshadow. It is also a good dupe of Mac Swish :D

Sleek Original iDivine Palette swatches

Sleek iDivine eyeshadow palettes are my absolute favorites when it comes to eye makeup, these sleek little palettes tuck in 12 lovely smooth, pigmented and blendable eyeshadow in a travel friendly package.

Sleek iDivine Original palette was one of the early launches from Sleek Makeup and has a all frosty and pearlescent shades except a matte black.
This is a bright festive looking palette filled with beautiful rich jewel tones. I'm not a huge fan of the matte black shadow included in this palette as unlike the other IDivine palettes I have I found this one to have much weaker pigmentation and it requires a whole lot of work to show up on my skin.

My absolute favorite is the blackened teal shade third shade from left in the top row. Its looks absolutely gorgeous and very apt fro creating some sultry smokey eyes.

Rest of the shadows are frosty the pale yellow gold shade has a flakey texture and had trouble showing up well on my bare skin.

These give approx 6 hours + of wartime with primer and though they fade away in intensity don't really crease much.
The shade selection is absolutely gorgeous and I think there are so many unique looks that can be put together from a single palette. I'd personally recommend getting one of these beauties for your you makeup stash :)

INGLOT AMC pure pigment eyeshadow number 22 review, swatch and eye makeup look

INGLOT AMC Pure pigment eyeshadow looks like fairy dust in a jar,the first time I saw this baby I was smitten I had never seen a shadow quite as pretty...
Texture wise Inglot AMC pure pigment # 22 is very similar to MAC's Crush metal pigment. This particular pigment looks like flecks of purple gold duochrome. This kind of pigments need to be crushed with your eyeshadow brush and then blended to create a sheer to medium coverage when used dry.You can use these wet (just dampen your brush with drop of water). When used wet the intensity of the pigment really comes to life.It gives off a highly reflective metallic sparkle which comes of predominantly gold with just a hint of purple. When used with a base the pigment really pops!

2 grams of pigment comes in standard INGLOT screw top jar. The packaging is very sturdy and very functional.Just like every other Inglot products there are no names just impersonal numbers which do make it tough to remember your favorites.Priced at Rs 700/- these are more expensive than MAC pigments in terms of per gram cost, but as MAC pigment jars contian lot more product the overall cost of each MAC pigment jar works out higher than that of INGLOT pigment. 2 grams might not sound like a lot of product but trust me , you just need the tiniest bit of pigment and a little goes a long way.
Like all Inglot products this one too is paraben free and not tested on animals.

A little haul-Maybelline 24 Hour color tattoo & L'oreal Infalliable eyeshadow

So I did a tiny lil haul (i'd rather not say how much I hauled in past few weeks *hides credit card statement*) I picked out Bold Gold shade form Maybelline Color Tattoo range range and got a freebie eyeshadow brush along with it (which the SA conveniently forgot to give me, till I pestered him *bad boy*)

 MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOO BOLD GOLD

I also finally caved in and bought L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow in All night blue, that blue had been tempting me for ages, I got back home to realize I already had an exact dupe in my Sleek eyeshadow palette of this shade :P *shhh...good thing my Hubby doesn't read my blog!*

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE EYESHADOW ALL NIGHT BLUE

Detailed review and looks coming right up :)

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo swatches

Indian blogsophere has been buzzing ever since the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo eyeshadows and Baby Lips lip balms have been launched.

With seductive promises of MAC Paintpot like quality at quarter of the price and a good shade selection these color tattoos are tempting every beautista out there! Well I swatched these out 3 times in past 10 day (yes I know it makes me sound unemployed, but trust me I'm not ).I was eagerly awaiting launch of the color tattoos but I wanted to be absolutely sure before picking these up.

Okay lets cut to the chase- Are these MAC Paint pot dupes?- Yes & No, they have the same cream based texture, which can be used alone as an eyeshadow or used as a base to layer the powder shadows on top.
They quickly dry and set to a smudge proof, water proof & transfer resist finish. They lasted for 16 hours on my hand swatch, The wear time is longer than MAC paint pot. Even after 16 hours I had to use cleansing wipe with makeup remover to get it completely off my skin.
Some shades are sheerer than the rest, the glittery shades do kind of make it difficult to blend powder shadows on top of these. The MAC paintpots are more creamier and smoother and blend more easily.

Are these worth buying? Oh Yeah! considering quality cream eyeshadows are as rare as finding Fairies & Unicorns, these ones are totally worth buying at  Rs 350/- bucks you are getting a very good cream shadow and it works well as a base too.

Too Cool & Tough as Taupe both these shades have been excluded from the India launch.Another gorgeous cranberry shade called Pomegranate punk was MIA as it was out of stock,so haven't been able to swatch it for you girls here.

MAC Heavenly Creatures Collection Mineralized Eye shadow Water review and swatches

One of the biggest Limited edition collection to be launched by MAC in 2012 is M.A.C Heavenly Creatures collection

and its filled with Mineralized makeup pieces. On the surface they look marbelized, but on the skin they blend for stunning celestial effect. The M.A.C. Heavenly creatures collections has 9 gorgeous Mineralize eyeshadows and today I'm reviewing the shade 'Water' from the collection

Water is a very complex melange of chartreuse,Yellow, dark navy, mint green swirls. The mineralized eyeshadows are baked each one has a unique patter and no two of these look the same. The yellow is very prominent, bt on its own has weak pigmentation, but when swatched together you get a beautiful muted green with a hint of blue, much like pista color with a high shimmer finish.
The baked mineralized eyeshadow swatch even more intense when used wet. You can use MAC fix +, or water to intensify the color pay off. I usually just wet my brush with a spritz of rose water and I find its much easier to work the shadows with minimal fall out.Eyeshadow when applied using a wet brush stays on for over 6 hours with slight fading.

This shade is just so va a voom in the pan I literally had a heart attack when I saw it! Forget peaches and coral this looked down right neon in the pan.

L'oreal Paris Chrome Shine eyeshadow Midnight stars Review and swatches

I usually steer clear of mono eyeshadows, my highly value conscious brain just refuses to fork out so much moolah on a single shadow!!! But once in a while some very unique & complex shade catches my fancy and I cave in. This time I ended up buying 2 shadows from L'oreal. I already reviewed L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Endless Chocolate and I thought I'll show you the other shadow which has got me smitten

L'oreal Paris Chrome Shine eyeshadow Midnight stars is a very unique grey gold lame` eyeshadow.
I love the Sol Invictus kind of embossed pattern on the shadow, it really looks intriguing in the pan.

Shadow in bright sunlight looks silvery grey.
The same shadow indoors the greenish gold pops through and you can see the nuances of the shade better.
