Nicki Minaj MAC Viva Glam inspired EOTD

My Cupcakes Its springtime & time to say hello to bright & vivid shadows to make way for golds ,bronze & rust eyeshadows of winter time -(though honestly Delhi weather has been so confused-it turns hot one day, next day it rains, then the city turns in to a dust bowl and then suddenly the temperatures drop by 5 degrees!!)

Coming back to today's EOTD, its the 16th look form my Project 101 Eye makeup Looks & is inspired by spunky Miss Minaj who's teemed up with MAC in their latest Viva Glam campaign.
While Nicki has been giving competition to Katy Perry on who is the brightest crayon in the box, she finally came up with a look us lesser mortals could dare to wear.

So check out my Nicki Minaj inspired EOTD & tell me what you think

This is a very easy look to cop,You can make it more defined by adding a sweep of  matte dark brown shadow in the crease and chartreuse green on the inner corner & blending it with green on the center of the lid. I obviously wanted to keep the look fuss free, so here are the products I used to do this look.

  • NYX HD eyeshadow base-used all over lid and lower lashline
  • MAC select moisturecover concealer NC 45- on under eye dark circles
  • Faces eyeliner pencil black used on the waterline
  • Lakme Glideon eye color liner in Turquoise used on lower lash line as a base for turquoise eyeshadow
  • 120 Eye shadow palette-Matte Green eyeshadow all over lid & Shimmery turquoise on the lower lashline applied on top of turquoise eyeliner
  • Maybelline Hypercurl mascara
  • Fake eyelashes from KKCenterHK

I'm wearing it with Inglot Freedom number 50 lipstick, this ain't the same shade as Nicki's MAC Viva Glam lippie, but this is closest shade I have and it looks gorgeous with this Blue Green Eye makeup.

Hope you enjoyed the EOTD, let me know if you want me to do any other celeb inspired Eye makeup look.

Xoxo

  3. Love how bright the green is. Can't wait to see the rest of the eye looks. I did an eye makeup series in Jan 2011 & after I was done those 31 looks, I had tried out so many different styles, techniques, colours, etc that I was quick & good at applying eyeshadow. Once I go out of practice, it takes longer to get the blending & everything done right. Hope you learn a lot from this project too.

    1. Hey welcome to my Blog :) The eyeshadows I used are all from 120 eyeshadow palette. You are spot on about improving styles/technique with a project like this,I have actually been able to use so many of the products I already own and become more proficient in attempting more complex looks.I am really learning tons from my project. Will definitely check out your 31 Looks! :)
