TRAVEL PICS-LOCAL ART GALLERY IN PHUKET

I love oil paintings and while I can't afford Renoir, Monet,Van Gogh or Tyeb Mehtas of the world I do love to put up artwork in my house. The whole experience becomes all the more exciting when you see a local  artist paint, interact with them and see how they approach a particular painting.

A beautiful artwork can become a truly memorable souvenir of a wonderful trip.
One of the must buy item on my wish list on my latest trip was to buy an oil painting (Yes ladies believe it or not , I did sacrifice my makeup purchase wish list of NARS The Multiple,MAC Semi Precious lipstick & Dior Addict lipstick for this!).

I saw some amazing artwork in small Galleries in Chatuchak market in Bangkok & local Art Galleries in Phuket. Many of the Artists were making reproductions but I also saw some very brilliant original artwork (price running in hundreds of thousand $$$ ! Gulp way beyond my budget!)

So I wanted to share some of the unique sights from my trip. I'll be posting a few more posts from my trip, leave a comment behind if you'd like to read more of my travel related posts

We bought the Buddha painting you see in this pic. It'll be going up on our dining room wall.

    1. The saddest journey in the world is the one that follows a precise itinerary. Then you're not a traveler. You're a f@@king tourist.
