Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipstick Coral Lustre

Coral, glossy, balmy shimmery all the things a girl needs on her lips in Summers and Maybelline Color sensational high shine lipstick in Coral Lustre is just what the Doctor ordered to beat the Monday morning blues!

Coral lustre is a sheer coral lippie. The lippie wears like a glaze on a single swipe but the color is build-able.It has a nice plumping effect on the lips.

Packaging-The packaging is chic mirror finish square tube it harks back to the design elements of earlier Colorsensational lipsticks.Priced at 3.5 grams for INR 399/-. Maybelline has jacked up priced of their lippies and reduced the quantity. It did make me think twice about picking second shade from this range.I wish Maybelline had kept this in 300 bucks price range.
There is a shade swqatch at the base to help you quickly find the shade you need in a jiffy!
Lip swatch- The shade is pretty sheer in single swipe, what you see below is 3-4 swipes on my very pigmented lips (NC 45. The texture is very sheer and balm which I quite like. The high shine gloss finish without having to use a sticky gloss on top is pure genius.
What I'm not such a huge fan of is the glitter, there's a whole bunch of it, while it doesn't look very prominent on the lips, but subsequently it has the tendency to travel all around my mouth and I'm not much in to the glitter bug look.

Overall Thoughts- If you are in fair to medium complexion and want a easy to wear glossy coral lippie this summer, definitely check out Coral Lustre, If you like me are a dusky gal, it would work great too.Key to wearing a shade lighter than your skin tone, have absolutely clean even complexion (say hello to concealer) and wear it as a day time shade with a whole lot of drama on your eyes. You can team it up with dark smoky  eyes or azure blue liner for that beach babe look.
I would recommend it if you are feeling more peachy coral than Blue on Mondays! ;)

Have a great week ahead xoxo

  1. I checked this shade out at the store yesterday, didn't like it much. It was too warm and orange like for me. :( I guess I should be happy though, saved me some money! LOL! The coral lipstick I'm loving though, is NYX's Haute Melon. <3
