Miss Claire Crackle polish review & NOTD

Hey Girls remember my Beauty Haul from New Beauty Center at Khar, Mumbai. Well one of the things I picked here was a Gold crackle polish from Miss Claire. After all the hullabaloo about the Crackle polish I wanted to try out one.

Miss Claire Crackle polish is available in Blue, silver, gold, purple, black, white, maroon and dark green shades. I chose gold 'coz I felt it would go with a wider range of shades.

Here's the NOTD with Miss Claire Gold Crackle polish, read on to find out more

I'm wearing Colorbar's Autumn rose nail polish- which is a bright & beautiful coral pink shade as a base.

When I first applied the crackle polish it turned into an ugly pasty white shade. Check out the pic below to know what I mean! Dear Hubby just walked in to my room to see me apply this on my nails and blurted
'Ugh what's that thing on your nails?Honey are you doing Thriller inspired ghoulish nails?!'

Ahem- after that frank feedback from Dear Hubby I was super skeptical of this crackle polish business... so before I gave up on it I topped it off with some shimmery clear polish from Flormar and lo & behold it suddenly turned into a nice and glossy golden crackle.

It works best when applied as one single light coat, topped with clear varnish, for added effect you can use a glittery top coat as well.
15 ML of Nail varnish is available for INR 225/- New Beauty Center retails it for INR 150/- For a bit of fun this is a good way to enliven your plain Jane varnishes.

Did you like Miss Claire crackle polish? Which shades would you like to try?

    1. Hey same here, the SA didn't mention anything about it needing a top coat to make it work, when it turned pasty white I was so disappointed, but thank God it works with a top coat

    1. Hey Nivedita, sorry to hear your BF didn't snag these.. but no worries, honestly after all that hype about crackle polish I'm actually underwhelmed after using it. They look fine in close up pics, but honestly in person I'm not sure I'd wear this anywhere..
