Organic Surge Peach Passion Shower Gel review

I have been on a skin pampering spree for past few months and have bought tons of bath and body and skincare stuff,though I have barely reviewed any skincare products in months.
Usually my bright lipsticks and blushes which quickly get reviewed, ah come on we are all sucker for those juicy lippies, I mean a shower gel or face mask is hardly as tempting ;) Okay so to make amends I officially declare December my Skincare review month and I'll be posting a lot of long over due reviews.

So here I go, usually I stick with my The Body shop shower gels, this time I decided to try out Organic surge and I picked this tantalizingly named shower gel called Organic Surge Peach Passion 

There aren't too many reviews available online of Organic surge products online so I was blind guessing when I bought it online.
It claims to contain Organic peach extract and almond essential oil and calm & condition the skin.Natural anti oxidant Vitamin E helps to calm and comfort any skin irritation.

Revlon Colorburst lip butter 'Red velvet' is a its a super luxe and sensuous oxblood color perfect for the Autumn-Winter season and is currently trending the runways.

Now Girls,don't get your PETA-panties in a bunch, contrary to what your first thought might be about oxblood-it being... well-'Ox' blood!, it isn't actually supposed to have any such gory origins. 
Oxblood refers to a dark brownish red shade, which resembles dried oxidized blood, hence the name 'Oxblood'.

Red velvet lipbutter has a sheer balmy texture,one swipe creates a hint of sophisticate color ,but swipe it on 3 times and it will give you bold and striking glossy sheeny dark oxblood shade with a hint of burgundy.Thankfully there is no shimmer in Red velvet lip butter and it makes it look very classy.This shade will be perfect for medium to dusky skin tones.

Packaging of Revlon Colorburst Lip butters follows the same design family as the diamond pattern we have seen on the colorburst lipstick and lipglosses.The tube is metallic and the outer casing translucent plastic in the same shade as that of the lipstick,there is also a clear window on top and color coded sticker at the base to help you spot your lippie in a jiffy. The packaging is pretty, albeit a bit flimsy.

The colorburst lipbutter lasts for around 2  hours on my lips after which a it fades away with a nice burgundy reddish tint and a hint of glossiness on my lips.

The pricing- In US these are priced at approx $ 7.5 (varies from store to store) though usually you can snag them on a BOGO (buy one get one offer), no such luck for makeup addicts in India we have to fork out Rs 600/- bucks a piece.
The quantity we get in each of these lip butter tubes is also incredibly low at just 2.55 grams,considering these are balmy textured lippies with low wear time, and need for frequent reapplication,there is a very good chance of finishing these up pretty quickly.

 Three swipes, the shade looks much more intense and has a hint of burgundy which my camera is not picking up in the pictures.

Revlon colorburst Red Velvet,its a classy red when worn sheer.It looks very chic and sophisticate oxblood red when you swipe it on 3 times.
Medium to dusky toned Divas would totally rock Red Velvet.Highly recommend it!

Expert Speak-Skin care tips for Indian skin

The question that vexed Sigmund Freud till the age of 83 was "What do women really want?

The question that vexes all us Women instead is "what does our skin really want?"

I mean we have all had those days when our skin just refused to make up its mind and acted up really bad, being oily and yet flaky at the same time!!

So today we have Dr. Kiran Lohia, a trained M.D, specializing in Dermatology walk us through the special Skin care tips for our Indian skin.

"Indian skin needs specialized care. As a dermatologist, I have seen all different skin types. However, in my experience, Indian skin suffers the most from its environment. India has very strong sunlight, weather fluctuations and an excess amount of pollution, leading to pigmented, dull and often sensitive skin."

To prevent these skin woes, follow the below skin care tips for Indian skin!

1 – Avoid the Sun!

The sun in India is very strong. It even penetrates the windows in your car and your home. The more sun exposure you have, the greater the risk of pigmentation disorders and the more aging your skin suffers from! So, try to avoid the sun if possible, particularly during the hours of 10am-3pm when the sun is the strongest.

2 – Use Sun Block!

Unfortunately, the sun cannot be avoided entirely. So, always remember to apply sun block of at least SPF 30++ where there is both UVB and UVA protection. UVB protection will help prevent tanning, while UVA protection will help prevent both pigmentation and aging. Remember to apply it 30 minutes before sun exposure and repeat every 3-4 hours so the effect does not wears off.

3 – Omega Fatty Acids Help Protect Your Skin!

Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids are increasingly being shown to have a beneficial effect on the skin and the heart. Data has shown that it helps prevent and protect against UV light induced injury while also strengthening the epidermal barrier! Try to eat these super powered macronutrients daily by consuming nuts, flaxseed and fresh fish. If you cannot get them in your diet, then start supplements!
